gds reinforces its management team – with Anne Kudla as the new sales manager

  • Sales management from its own ranks
  • Further optimizing the customer journey
  • Portfolio expansion

Sassenberg, October 5, 2021 – Penetrating new and existing target groups: That is the objective of Anne Kudla, who is taking over as sales manager at gds with immediate effect. With this fully qualified attorney, the leading Competence Center for Technical Communication and Information Management is relying on experience and sales expertise from its very own ranks. Anne Kudla’s tasks include intensifying business with existing customers but also developing new target groups, with the numerous additions to the gds portfolio being of particular importance.

“gds has always been very customer-focused and I want to continue that,” says Anne Kudla. However, as the industry is changing, customer expectations change with it. “Individualized customer care and specialized offers are becoming increasingly important. In addition, outreach must become more digital, as fewer on-site appointments are possible or even wanted since the Corona pandemic. We need to align our strategy to these changing conditions to further optimize the customer journey.”

With Anne Kudla, a long-term employee has taken over the management of the sales department. After studying law, she gained experience in sales in London, during which she benefited from the ability to view issues from different perspectives. After the establishment of an external branch brought her back to Germany, she moved to EasyBrowse GmbH in 2013, at that time a subsidiary of Ovidius GmbH, where she worked on positioning the eponymous content delivery platform in the industrial sector and eventually became managing director. When the company was acquired by gds, easybrowse was added to the portfolio of the Sassenberg-based specialist for technical documentation, and Anne Kudla joined the sales team as an expert in content delivery.

Team concept in focus

During her sales time at gds, Anne Kudla learned to appreciate working as part of a team, which is why putting team performance at the center is also a concern for her in the future. This also includes continuing to promote specialists for individual subject areas so that customers are well taken care of throughout their entire journey in the company. As the aim is to penetrate the target group more intensively through an even more individualized approach, the numerous innovations in the portfolio are decisive. These include the further development of easybrowse, the provision of the easybrowse app for all relevant operating systems, the new releases of docuglobe and XR, and gds' own neural translation engine PLURAVOX for mechanical engineering, with which gds Sprachenwelt takes machine translation to a whole new level. The support provided by the Technical Editors and the consulting cooperation with the renowned law firm reuschlaw Legal Consultants on the subject of EU conformity and international product compliance round off gds’ unique portfolio. “I think it’s important to give our customers a perspective for the future,” Anne Kudla said. The way in which information is used is changing. “The snippets of information we need are increasingly expected at the push of a button. We will accompany our customers along the way.”
